Iowa deaths

Does anyone have access to the deaths in Iowa from all counties? I think, maybe, my gggrandmother, Christine VanDuesen Palmatier, died in 1897, but need an all-county search, as she seems not to have died in Story County. Iowa's costs for searching are $10 per county per 5-year range. This makes it prohibitive to go through the Vital Statistics Office. Can anyone help me?
