I have information that seems to pertain to your family although there seem to be variances in the given names and the spelling of the surname.
The Jones County, Iowa Marriage Records lists the marriage of Samuel Chitester and Ellen A. Lamb on 16 December 1863.
In 1870, what appears to be the above couple living in Hanover, Jo Daviess County, Illinois, page 225, is Saml Chitester, age 27 born PA, and Ellen Chitester, age 24 born IA.
In 1880 we find in Madrid Bend, Fulton County, Kentucky, page 377B, Louis Chitester, age 38 born PA, Ellen Chitester, age 36 born IA, Wm. Chitester, age 8 born IL, Charles Chitester, age 6 born IA, and George Chitester, age 2, born KY. They are living with a Smith family along with Louis' brother.
