In Response To: Wagon Train to Iowa (Kristen)

Hello Kristen,

There are not many lists of wagon train migrants that have survived history.

Osage is located in Mitchell County, Iowa.
My first thought was to look for him in the 1880 census. Found the family of George Gilbert but his William was 12 yrs born in Iowa.

Then I tried looking for him in Wisconsin and that didn't work either.

You said that he came back to Iowa in 1891. Where did he settle? Did he have a wife and children? What do you know of them?

Looking forward to talking with you some more.
