My Grandfather Harry Parkin Whitfield was born in Lucas, Iowa in 1899. His parents were John Whitfield and Alice Whitfield nee Mitchell. They lived in Hocking for several years as I have 2 grade school pictures of him with his class and teacher. He had 3 brothers, Edward, Samuel and Arthur and 2 sisters Nellie and June. They were Coal Miners.
