Iowa stone in Washington Monument

My mother is Beverly Williams Humphreys. Her mother was Myrl Miller Williams. Her father was Charles C. Miller from Iowa. C.C.Miller carved the 2 stones from Iowa located within the Washington Monument in D.C. As a boy, I remember walking the steps to touch these stones. I also remember a small 3" X 5" X 1" brown veined stone which C.C.Miller carved with his daughter's name, "Myrl." It was proudly displayed in my grandmother's home on her coffee table. I just wanted to share this with you. Michael Humphreys
