Subject: Alice Petersen b. 1905 of Irwin
Surnames: PETERSEN, PAULSEN, HANSEN
Query: I am looking for information on Alice Petersen who was living in 1930 age 25 at Irwin, Shelby County, Iowa. She worked in the general store at that time. Her mother was Mary nee Hansen, who had married first to Jens Christian Petersen in Shelby County in 1888. Alice and her siblings: Detlef Heinrich, Wick Songes Nokolai, Meta Christiana, Lilly Elisabeth, Carl Heinrich were all born at Manilla, Crawford County. The family attended the Trinity Lutheran Church at Manilla. The famly moved to Albert Lea, MN, and then to Lidgett, Canada. The father and brother Carl Heinrich died there in 1920, and the mother and at least Alice returned to Irwin by 1921 or so. Mary remarried to Peter Paul K Paulsen in 1925 at Irwin. Any info on this family would be appreciated!
