I am researching Gustav Weis, publisher of Deutscher Anzeiger - the German language newspaper of Muscatine, Iowa. He married Helen Van Lent, daughter of John Van Lent and Mary Willems. The time frame is 1900+/- 25 years (Helen was born 1875). Helen Van Lent was first cousin to my ggrandmother Josephine Schaeffers of New Orleans - their mothers (Mary Willems and Susanne Willems) were sisters. The Van Lent and Weis families lived in Muscatine, Iowa. Any information regarding these families would be appreciated.
