My Great grandfather James D Dement and his brother Shirley and 2 sisters, Nora and Cora were taken from their parents in Larchwood Iowa and all placed in the Iowa Childrens Home Society in May of 1904. My Great grandfather was adopted into a family by the name of Johnson, and later changed his last name to Rydell. I am trying to find records of my Great Grandfather James D Dement and his siblings, as well, the family that adopted him. Any information or direction to records would be appreciated. Thank you!
