MELLINGER, MELLENGER

My ggg grandfather was Zachariah Mellinger/Mellenger. He was born around 1832 in Ohio. He and his wife Sarah moved to Iowa. I did find them and their son (my gg grandfather Ephriam Wesley) in the 1860 census. I know Zachariah served in the Civil War (Union) and he allegedly died from a disease he contracted there. Any information you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
