Henry Addison Cross

CROSS

A few years ago I read something on this sight about a Cross who, I believe, was the first Baptist minister in Iowa or a particular county in Iowa. He had four daughters and a son. I did not know until later that this was most likely my husband's great-grandfather. I may have the minister part wrong, but I know that my husband's grandfather was Henry Addison Cross and that he had four older sisters. Henry was a "caboose," and my sister-in-law, born in 1959, was the first girl born into this family in over 60 years. That leads me to believe that Henry's sisters must have had all boys. Henry married Vera Sprague, and they had two sons live to adulthood. One son (my father-in-law) was Harold Sprague Cross, and the other was Herbert Addison Cross. Some of the above information may not be accurate, so if you know absolutely anything that might help us find this family, please let me know. My husband - though young - is the oldest surviving of Henry's blood line, and we really want learn more! Thank you for you help!
