Lost 3Gr. Grandfather

Searching for John Holmes, b. Westmoreland Co., Pennsylvania abt 1790, moved to Ohio (Highland Co.), then Edgar Co., Illinois in abt 1840. Found him in 1850 U.S. Census for Edgar Co., Ill, then have lost him. Know his daughter (mine line) moved to Nodaway Co., Mo., but think he might have come to Iowa, following another of his children. His 2nd wife was Rebecca Partridge. Need to find a will in order to prove my line. Please reply by e-mail at Deesend@aol.com thanks
