Alva KING 1854 in Iowa

I am researching my ancestor Alva KING who died in Iowa in 1854. He was born on the 28 Feb 1804 in Providence RI and emigratted to western NY state in 1814 with his father and family. He was married to Hannah Carney in Concord, Erie Co. NY and according to a biography of his brother appearing in a local history of Concord, NY he died in Iowa in 1854. His occupation is believed to have been a gunsmith. I have had no luck in tracing him to Iowa and was hoping someone might either have some information or suggestions for me.
