I only was trying to assist you in your quest for information. I looked at records in the public domain -- no sealed records -- no orphanage records. I am not related to Mr. Easton. The sources I checked and then posted were:

Registers of birth, 1880-1917, Palo Alto County Iowa Clerk of the District Court - page 36, 1916.

California Death Index, 1940-1997. Sacramento, CA, USA: State of California Department of Health Services, Center for Health Statistics.

Department of Veterans Affairs BIRLS Death File, 1850-2010.

National Archives and Records Administration. U.S. World War II Army Enlistment Records, 1938-1946.

San Diego, California - City Directory

You will need to order his California Death Certificate and contact the Veterans Administration to obtain a copy of his VA file. I hope this clarifies the sources of the information.
