My uncle, Lowell W. Poole, was killed at The Battle of The Bulge. He was born in 1918 in Wabash Co., Indiana. As far as I know, he was one of the many soldiers who never received a certificate. Would anyone know how to go about inquiring into whether or not he would be able to receive a medal?
