Cora Williams Benny was born in Laurel, Marshall County, Iowa on 22 June 1872 to Alexander Williams and Rebecca (Reed) Williams. She died in San Diego, California on 21 June 1949. Her death information lists her father as "Williams" and her mother as "Reed."
She is enumerated in Jefferson Township, Marshall County, Iowa along with her parents in 1880.
She married Albert Edward Benny on 25 December 1893 in Marshall County, Iowa. In the marriage record, Albert E. Benny, age 24, was born in Cornwall, England. His parents were listed as William Benny and Jane Vincent. Cora Williams, age 22, was listed as having born in Laurel, Iowa to Alex Williams and Rebecca Read.
Albert Edward Benny was born 29 May 1870 and died 7 July 1945 in San Diego, California -- his parents' surnames being listed as Benny and Vincent.
Their son, William V. Benny was born 9 November 1894 in Gilman, Marshall County, Iowa, according to his World War I Draft registration.
It appears that Cora's parents were married in nearby Jasper County, Iowa. Alexander Williams married Rebecca H Read on 10 February 1870 in Jasper County.
