According to her obituary, Emma Hart was born in Iowa in 1871 and was left an orphan at an early age. For a number of years she made her home with an uncle. Later she made her home in St. Louis and came from there to Nebraska in 1886 where she married Orrie Merrill 2 Apr, 1890. According to the marriage license her father was William Hart and her mother was Etta Erskins. She died in 1896 at the age of 25.

I've been looking for additional information for over twenty years and have found nothing. Her parents must have died sometime between 1872 and 1880. If you can help, please contact me.
