Hi again Lillian, Is this for you or another friend? Anyway, here is what I found. Gladbrook is in Spring Creek twp. in Tama co. So in 1880 Spring Creek twp is enumerated a Peter Wilken, He is 37 from Holstein and lives alone. Couple pages away is enumerated a Theodore Wilken, 35, Holstein. Living with him is 70 y/o Dora Wilken, Prussia. (probably his mother). Going to 1900 in Marshall co Ia, which is next door to Tama co. is the Household of Theodor Wilkens. He is 55, born Germany. Wife Anna K. is 45, also Ger. In the household are children Peter N. born Oct, 1880, 19, daughter Chattena? 15, and Claus 10. all born Ia. My theory is Theodore got married after his mother died and he had son Peter N. right off the bat. Just throwing it out there in case you're interested. Dick
