Wilson from IA to AR to OK

Hi ...

I've been searching for my g-g-grandfather for years ... his name was Isaac "Ike" A. Wilson. According to the 1900 census, he was born in Iowa. He married Martha "Mattie" J. Potts in Jasper, Crawford Co., AR on Christmas Day, 1885. By 1900 they were in Flint, Cherokee Nation, Indian Territory (what is now Adair Co., OK). I have no reason to believe he was Cherokee. By 1910, Mattie was remarried, so I assume that Ike died between 1903-1909 (their last child was born in 1903). They had 6 children, but only 3 survied: Jesse L., Beulah Mae and Minnie.

Both of Ike's parents (according to the 1900 census) were born in KY. I don't always believe census info, so I'm open to anything.

Does anyone have any clues as to how I could possibly try to find a birth record for him, since I have no idea of the county? And it was so long ago, I doubt that there are records.

Or if anyone else has a Wilson family that migrated south to AR or OK, maybe there's a connection?
