Hello,
It would be helpful to indicate more of what you know such as where and when your grandfather died, what was your grandmother's name(maiden if known), where she died and was born, what is the reason you think Iowa is involved. If you can point to at least some of these facts it may be possible for one of the many volunteers to do a lookup on a subscription genealogy site for their appearance on the 1910 or 1920 census and find this family together. That will be just the start as then they can be backtracked to family origins.
