On the 1850 census they were in Lyme township of Jefferson County, they had a daughter Martha, age 12, which is close enough to be the Martha Hall on the 1870 census above.There are a couple of Wm Hall's of the right age in 1850 Jefferson County, NY
I suspect that either Wm Hall or Martha Marvin may have been married before they married each other.
