Birth years are often off a few years as individuals get older, and are often off a few years just by their first census.

Here's a possible
1870 census Canoe township, Winneshiek, Iowa
Albers, Henry, 30, farmer, b. Oldenberg
Elizabeth, 25, France
George, 5, IA
Anna C, 3, IA
Ida c, 1, IA
Henry, 5 mo, IA

Family in same location 1880 with additional children
John, 9, IA
Clara, 7, Ia
Emma, 5, IA
Albert E, 3, IA

George is still in Winnesheik County in 1895

Parents have 2 more sons in 1895, Fred, 13, Edwin, 7

The George W Albers mentioned by the other poster on the 1910 census in CA, was located in Portland, Oregon on the 1900 census, with a Feb 1862, birthdate with wife and children. He was indexed as A W Albers. Ist child had been born in Washington state, the rest in Oregon.
