Royce, how about some info beyond just the fact that your father was born in Iowa? What was his first and last name? Do you know where he was born? When did he die, who did he marry, when, where?

Would he happen to be Floyd C Manchester, who died in Fresno, California, October 11, 1977?

This census is very blurry, possibly the initial are not G H.

(However, this George appears to still be in Shoharie in 1917.)

Nellie E Burrell, was in Union County, Iowa in 1905. Marriage to G H Manchester may have occurred there. County seat is Creston, County Recorder's office would have marriage records.

You also might check in Beaverhead county, MT for birth records on Earl and Edna Manchester.
