I have discovered more since the last posting. I am searching for a John Charles Stewart born in IA in June of 1864. He later migrated to NE and married a Minnie Lee (adopted by Josiah Wands Thayer co. NE) in 1891.
All I census you know about J.C." Jack" Stewart is that he was born in IA and his parents were from Scotland, NY or US depending on which census you follow. He had at least two brothers Walter and William and two sisters Elizabeth and Bell. Do these sketchy facts ring any bells? A couple of memories from Jack's daughter was that Jack's mother's name was Mary and his father worked on a Miss. River excursion boat (which limits the counties to the eastern border counties) in the summer and cut ice in the winter.
