Joel Funk Asper, b.4/20/1822,Adams County, PA, moved to Warren, Trumbull County, OH 1827, moved to Iowa in 1850 and published Chardon Democrat, raised company for the Civil War in 1861 and was its captain,moved to Chillicothe, Livingston County, MO in 1864. He was a member of OH and MO bar. Any info on where he was and what he did in Iowa is welcomed.
