Randy Kilgore, 68, of Creston, died Monday, November 5, 2018 at his home in Creston.

Burial of Cremated Remains will take place privately at the Iowa Veteran’s Cemetery in Van Meter. Powers Funeral Home in Creston is assisting with arrangements.

Randal Max Kilgore was born on August 18, 1950 in Creston, to Max Stanley Kilgore and Margaret (Bradshaw). He graduated from Creston High School with the class of 1968. Following his graduation, Randy was united in marriage to Barbara Boyd in Creston.

In 1969, he enlisted with the United States Army. Randy was honorably discharged in 1971 and returned to Creston where he worked with his father at Kilgore Used Cars as a car salesman and later at Deter Motors in Atlantic, Ia. Randy was married to Sherry Wambold on February 4, 1983, in Orient, Ia. They later divorced.

Randy is survived by his children, Eric (Beth), Crystal, Tiffany, Sherrece and Lakota; twelve grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Kaye; nephews, Lance and Dustin; along with many cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Rudy Kilgore.
