Friday, November 6, 1936David Joseph Crane Died This Morning at Home in Creston
David Joseph Crane, a merchant in Creston for a number of years, died at 12:55 o'clock this morning at his home, 305 West Seneca street, after an illness since July.
Funeral services will be held at 9 o'clock Monday from the Immaculate Conception Catholic church, conducted by the Rev. Msgr. Vitus Stoll, and burial will be in Calvary cemetery.
He was born Feb. 6, 1875*, in Georgetown, Iowa, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Crane.
He came to Creston when a small boy and was married to Anna Sullivan, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Sullivan and Eugene Crane, a brother, T. J. Crane of Albia, and a half brother, Mark Crane of Leon.

We are sorry to note the passing of David Crane, one of the most talented and appreciative of our musical people and a member for years of the tenor section of the Choral Club.
Eugene, the younger son, traveling in the northwest with an orchestra, was home for a few days.
