Friday, May 17, 1946Mrs. Anna Crane is Found Dead in Bed This Afternoon
Mrs. Anna Crane was found dead in her bed at the home of Mrs. Mary Porter, 809 west Adams street, shortly after 1 p.m. Mrs. Porter went to the room to awaken Mrs. Crane from a short nap and found her dead.
The aged woman had been in apparent good health but had been under the care of a physician last night.
She is the widow of the late David Joseph Crane, who died November 6, 1936. She was a member of St. Malachy's Catholic church.
Mrs. Crane is survived by tow sons, Sullivan Crane of Alton, Ill.. and Eugene Crane of Lakewood, Ohio, and one granddaughter.
She had been librarian in the Creston high school for nine years until retiring about seven years ago.
Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
