Samuel Gordon Day of Thayer, Iowa, 73, son of George & Jeanette White Day was born at Grand River, Iowa, on December 28, 1891. He passed away at the hospital in Creston May 26, 1965, following a long illness. On April 20, 1918 he was united in marriage to Helen Swindler. He is survived by his wife Helen; and two sons, Lee of Virginia and John of Thayer; two grandchildren; sister Mary Lowe of Afton, brothers Robert Day of Thayer and Frank Day of Afton. He was preceded in death by a daughter Ruth on April 29, 1935 at the age of 15; brothers, Charles Day and John Day; and a sister, Ruth Day Yount.
