George I. Cornelison, Creston
A funeral for George Ivan Cornelison, 72, of Creston, who died at Greater Community Hospital, was 10:30 a.m. today at the Keating-Lindsay Funeral Home here.
The Rev. Robert Pickerell, pastor of the First Christian Church, officiated with burial in Graceland Cemetery here. Music was provided by Jean Schmoll, organist.
Pallbearers were Carl Dibel, Earl Huffman, John McIntosh, Ed Merritt, Charlie Parsons and Roy Waddell.
Honorary pallbearers were Hugh Bolton, Burdette Buxton, Clarence Campbell, Albert Clayton, Earl Dibel, Donald Francis, Harley Griffey, Gerald Kindred, Charlie Lamb, Joe Mulford, Ernest Porter, Darwin West, Leonard Miller, Harold Brown and Ray Adamson.
Cornelison was born Sept. 27, 1913, in Union County, Iowa. He was a self-employed truck operator and driver, antique dealer and craftsman.
Survivors include his wife, two sons and a daughter.
