Helen Regina Baumann, 87 of Lenox, formerly of Creston died Saturday, December 25, 2004 at the Lenox
Care Center, Lenox. Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2004 at the Powers Funeral Home,
601 New York Ave., Creston. Pastor Robert Sauser officiated.
Burial was at the Graceland Cemetery, South of Creston. Powers Funeral Home was in charge of
arrangements. Memorials are to the Lenox Care Center and the First Baptist Church, Creston.
Helen was born October 6, 1917 in Exira, IA to Elmer L. Berry and Margaret Violet Sheldon. She was educated in the
Buckley, MO. schools. On June 26, 1935 in Macon, MO. Helen married George Baumann. They moved to Colorado
and lived for a few years before moving and settling in the Corning area in 1943. She was a dedicated homemaker and
farm wife. In 1980 they moved to Creston; while she was there she was an active member of the First Baptist Church.
Later in August of 1993, Helen moved to Lenox. She is survived by one son, Donald (wife Carol) Baumann,
Cedarville, Ohio; two sisters Billie Shrum, Victoria, TX., Erma Shepherd, of Alabama; one sister-in-law Ruth Berry,
Calhoun, MO.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents; husband George, who passed away in November, 1988; two brothers
Harold and Ray Berry; and one sister Opal McIntire.
