Martha Heuckendorf, 83 of Creston died Friday, November 01, 2013 at her home in Creston. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 4, 2013 at Powers Funeral Home, jct. hwy 34 & 25 in Creston. Mary O'Riley will officiate. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery south of Creston. Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. service time on Monday, November 4, at Powers Funeral Home in Creston. Memorials are to the family.
Ruth Martha Louise Heuckendorf was born March 4, 1930 in Greenfield to Lena Leona (Bussow) Burg and Conrad Henry Burg. She graduated from Richland High School. On December 17, 1951, Martha was united in marriage to Everett Eugene Heuckendorf. They lived north of Richland, then on a farm south of Richland and before moving to Creston. Martha worked at Southwestern Community College in Housekeeping. Martha was also a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband Everett Heuckendorf of Creston; one brother Leo "Slim" (wife Mary) Burg of Creston; one sister Mary Lou (husband James) Abell also of Creston; local nieces Kathy Abell, Denise (husband Tom) Redding, Connie (husband Tom) Sevier, Marlene (husband Rich "Stretch") Mullin; local nephews Ed (wife Judy) Pridgen, Jim Abell and numerous other nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Lois Pridgen and her brother Frank Dennis.
