Smith, Leslie -
Leslie Smith, 69, a former resident of the Lenox and Cromwell areas died Sunday at his home in Madison, Mo., where he had farmed the past several years. Mr. Smith was a brother of Mrs. Joe Neuhardt of Lenox.
He was born Sept. 22, 1906 at Kent, the son of W. M. Smith and Anna McCarl Smith. He never married. Another sister, Mrs. Frances Lawson of Pittsburg, Texas and a brother, Cleo Smith of Moline, Ill., also survive.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 14th at the Larkin-Bender Funeral Home in Lenox at 2:00 with Rev. Elmer West officiating.
Music was furnished by Norma Paymal, organist; and Billie Jean Barker and Marilyn Beck, vocalists.
Casket bearers were Russell Wurster, Clarence Olson, Kenneth Schaffer, James Smith, Robert Smith and Joe Neuhardt.
Burial was in the Cromwell cemetery.
