Clem, Louise Dalhberg -
Mrs. William Clem, 79, died Friday at the Greater Community Hospital in Creston.
Louise Dalhberg Clem was born June 1, 1892 at Corning, Iowa, to William and Evelyn Dalhberg. She went to school at Quincy, Iowa, and to the Teachers Academy in Corning.
She taught school until she married William Clem on Dec. 10, 1913. They farmed in the Kent Community until they retired and moved to Lenox, Iowa in January of 1965.
Survivors include her husband, William, two sons, Earl and his wife, Evelyn of Lenox, Don and his wife, Creola of Creston, and a daughter, Alta Jean McCafferty and her husband, Robert of Fort Collins, Colorado. Ten grandchildren, Sandra Lininger, Edwin and Paul Clem, Sharon Longfellow, Linda, Lary, Bill and Teresa Clem, Vicki, Janet and Carol McCafferty. Also survivors are 11 great grandchildren.
She also leaves to mourn many relatives and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Floyd, Ernest and Virtle and three sisters, Lena Wright, Esther Peak and Ruth Brown.
Mrs. Clem joined the Methodist Church at an early age and was an active member all her life. She was a kind and loving person, a devoted wife and mother.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m., from the United Methodist Church with Rev. Floyd Newbrough officiating.
Bearers were Bill Clem, Edwin Clem, John Larry, Jerry Lininger, Richard Rundlett and Clifford Huntington.
Burial was in Graceland cemetery at Creston.
