Sims, Monte Elbert-
Monte E. Sims, 70, Kent farmer, died Tuesday afternoon at Greater Community hospital in Creston.
Survivors include his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Rosalie Johnson of Norwalk and Mrs. Darlene Churchman of Carlisle, plus a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 p. m. in the Lenox United Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in the Graceland cemetery at Creston.

Sims, Monte Elbert -
Monte Elbert Sims, Kent community farmer, passed away May 9, 1937 in Creston. Born November 20, 1896 near Versailles, Missouri, he was 70 years of>age
at his death. He had farmed 35 years in Adair, Madison, and Union counties, having lived near Kent for 11 years.
Survivors include his wife, Lillie, and two daughters: Mrs. Darlene Churchman of Carlisle, Iowa and Mrs. Rosalea Johnson of Norwalk, Iowa. Also surviving
are one sister, Mrs. Wayne Harlan of Independence, Missouri; one brother, Mr. Lee Sims of Versailles, Missouri; and six grandchildren.
Mr. Sims was a member of Lenox Presbyterian Church.
Final rites were held Friday afternoon. Interment was at Graceland Cemetery, Creston.
