In Remembrance...Billie E. Shields

Services for Billie F. Shields, 82, who passed away Saturday, July 27, 2013, in Des Moines will be held 10 a.m., Friday August 2, at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Afton, Iowa

Survivors include his children, Dianna (Chuck) Tiedemann, Mike (Cherrie) Shields, Debbie (Les) VanHeeswyk, Denise (Taine) Carter-Shields, Scott (Karen) Shields, Kristy (Eddie) Seuferer, and Shelly Thomas; siblings, Harvey Shields, Shirley Burr, Max, Bob and Dan shields, seventeen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Shirley Shields.

Visitation will be held 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, august 1, at Overton funeral Home where family will be present to greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Masonic services will be held Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m. Memorials may be given to The American Heart Association.
