Dr. Palmer Died Monday

Dr. George Giles Palmer, 89, resident of Creston since 1917, died yesterday at 10 p.m. at his home, 605 West Adams, with pneumonia, following a seven weeks’ illness. He was a retired veterinarian and moved to Union County in 1874, making his home at Spaulding until moving to Creston in 1917.
Dr. Palmer was born near Syracuse, N.Y. on July 30, 1850. On Dec. 3, 865, he was married in Creston to Sadie S. Scott, who died April 1, 1933. Since her death he has been making his home with her niece, Mrs. A.B. Snyder. He was a member of the Methodist church.
Funeral services will be held at the McGregor Bros. and Coens chapel tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. in charge of the Rev. L.E. Watson. Pallbearers will be Andy Clark, Clark Abbott, Ray and Vern Abbott, Dr. George Wessels and Paul Wheeler. Burial will be in the Prairie Lawn Cemetery at Spaulding. The family requests no flowers.
