Margie Riggins, 72, died in Creston Sunday; Rites to be held here Tuesday

Margie Riggins, 72, died Sunday at 4 p.m. at her home, 205 South Birch street, following a five year illness. She moved to Creston from Morristown, Tenn., in 1929 and has resided here since that time.

Mrs. Riggins was born Feb. 6, 1867 in Morristown, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ely Thacker. She was married in Hamblen county, Tenn., to Buck Riggins who died about 25 years ago.

Surviving are three sons, Levi of Tarkio, Mo., and Albert and Leroy of Creston; five grandchildren and four brothers, Sam Thacker of Westboro, Mo., George Thacker of Fairfax, Mo., Jim Thacker of Tarkio and Marion Thacker of Kimburg, Idaho.

Funeral services will be held at the Assembly of God church Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in charge of the Rev. H. C. Noah. The body will remain at the Roland funeral home until time for the services. Burial will be in Graceland cemetery.
