Died--At the residence of his father-in-law, Wesley Hoskins, in east part of the city, yesterday afternoon, at 4 o'clock, Elmer E. Devol, aged 25 years. The deceased resided with his wife on a farm in Spaulding township, and came to Creston on Christmas with his wife to visit his father-in-law. He was taken sick very suddenly, and was not able to be taken to his home. He had only been married about a year and leaves a young wife to mourn for him. He was the eldest son of W. H. Devol, formerly of Spaulding township, but now a resident of Creston, and was a young man of exemplary life, highly respected by the entire community. The funeral will be held at the Baptist church tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock, and the remains will be taken to Cromwell for Interment.

The deceased was a nephew of J. R. Laughery
