B. B. Hartman
Of Creston Dies

B. B. Hartman, 86, 511 west Montgomery street in Creston, died at 3:35 a.m. today at Greater community hospital here after an illness of one week.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Keating Chapel with Rev. John H. K. Moffett officiating and burial in Graceland cemetery. The casket will not be open following the services.

Born June 11, 1880, in Highland township, Union county, he was the son of Ruben Hartman and Frances Hill Hartman. He was married on March 17, 1904 in Platte township, Union county, to Ora Terry who survives. A resident of this community all of hi life, he was a farmer, retiring in 1963, when he moved to Creston. He was a member of the Platte center Presbyterian church.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Walter of Adel and Eugene of rural Creston; two daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Ruby) White of Afton and Mrs. Williard (Grace) Long of Glen Ellyn, Ill., 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

A memorial fund to the Platte center church is being established and contributions my be left at the Keating chapel.

Rites Today for B. B. Hartman

Funeral services for B. B. Hartman, 86, were held at 2 p.m. today at the Keating chapel here. Rev. John H. K. Moffett officiated. Music at the service was by Mrs. Harvey Miller, organist and Clarence Long who sand "In the Garden" and "No Night There." Casket bearers were Paul Francis, Eldon Mayne, Walter Johnson, Lendal Snyder, Alvy Reynolds and Olin Danner. Burial was in Graceland cemetery.

Mr. Hartman died on Monday
