L.H. Converse Pioneer Farmer Died Monday.

L.H. Converse prominent pioneer farmer of near Lorimor passed away Monday morning at the Greater Community Hospital at Creston, at the age of 81 years. He had been in good health and able to be about his farm until the middle of last week. On Friday he was taken ill and on Saturday was admitted to hospital with pneumonia. Early in life Mr. Converse took great interest in civic affairs which he maintained until a few years ago. He was very active in politics from an early age and has filled many positions in the township, county and state. He also was selected as a representative and delegate to several state and national affairs both as a politician and a worker in civic improvements. There are six surviving children also two brothers and one sister. His wife passed away in 1910 as did one daughter, Eva, in 1934. Funeral services were held this afternoon at 2:00 o’clock from the Methodist Church at Lorimor, under the direction of the Elks Lodge of Creston of which he was a member. Interment was made in the Lorimor cemetery.”
