Clifford Roudybush, 77, farmer living southeast of town, died Sunday morning of cancer at the hospital in Creston. Funeral services were Tuesday at the Methodist Church, Rev. Burton C Collier, the pastor, officiating. Burial was in the Lenox Cemetery.

His family suggest memorial gifts to be contributed to the Lenox Methodist Church.

Mr Roudybush was born on a farm south of Diagonal. He had lived in Lenox for the past 15 years. Prior to that he had lived in Clearfield for ten year.

His survivors include his wife, Martha, twin daughters, Mrs Robert Brown and Mrs Donald Barker and nine grandchildren, all of Lenox.

Other survivors are four brothers, Floyd of Des Moines, John of Diagonal, Lester of Mason City and Ralph of Clarinda as well as three sisters, Mrs Myrtle Yashack of Diagonal, Mrs Mae Gleason of Seattle, Wash, and Mrs Fern Dolecheck of Diagonal. His parents, Mr and Mrs Will Roudybush, a sister, Mrs Beulah Sabotka; and four infant
brothers and sisters preceded in death.

Roudybush, Clifford William -
Clifford William, the son of William A and Maria Griffeth Roudybush was born March 28, 1902 on a farm south of Diagonal. He departed from this life at the hospital in Creston Nov 15, 1959 at the age of 57 years, 7 months and 17 days.

Clifford spent the early years of his life until 1930 in the Diagonal vicinity. In 1929 he was united in marriage with Martha Struwe and moved east of Lenox. To this union were born twin daughters Kathlyn and Maralyn. During the years 1934-44 he lived in the Clearfield vicinity, moving then to their present home near Lenox where they have lived the last 15 years.

One of a family of 13, he was preceded in death by his parents,a sister, Mrs Beulah Sabotka and four infant brothers and sisters. His is the first death in the immediate Roudybush family of over 120 members since his father's passing in 1937.

He leaves to mourn his passing: his wife Martha; twin daughters, Kathlyn (Mrs Robert Brown of Diagonal), and Maralyn (Mrs Donald Barker) two sons-in-law to whom he was extremely devoted, Bob
Brown and Don Barker; also nine grandchildren, Patty, Gary, Deanna, Billy, Jimmy and Sheryl Brown, Barbara, Sandra and Steven Barker; Also brothers: Floyd of Des Moines, John of Diagonal, Lester
of Mason City and Ralph of Clarinda and sisters: Mae Gleason of Seattle, Wash, Myrtle Yashack of Benton, Fern Dolecheck of Diagonal; In addition there are many nieces and nephews, Martha's
mother Mrs Struwe who helped to care for him these last three weeks, other relatives and scores of friends.

He joined the Methodist Church in Diagonal in his early life, later transferring to the Lenox Methodist Church. His pride and joy was in helping others and enjoying his nine grandchildren.

Tribute: During the past two years Clifford has never complained
once but has been in failing health after withstanding the shocks of surgery, accident, and sickness he underwent surgery for the removal of a cancerous lung. Even though he was in good spirits he could not endure the ordeal and continued to lose strength and vitality. He was a kind and devoted husband, father, and neighbor who was always ready to lend a hand [Poem]

The funeral was at the Methodist Church the Rev B C Collier officiating. Burial was in Fairview cemetery. Casket bearers were WiUiam Weeda, John Brown, Jodie Hepperly, Jim McMath, Henry Beck and Earl Smith.
