John H. Cole, father of Mrs. Kenneth Eberle, passed away Saturday July 7th at 6:30 p.m. at the home of another daughter, Mrs. Cecil Cornell at Shannon City. He was 71 years, 10 months and 1 day old. Mr. Cole had been in ill health for the past 18 months. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jan. 11, 1930.

Surviving are four children, children: Mrs. Orval Comer of Rock Falls, Ill., Mrs. Cecil_Cornell of Shannon City, Roland Cole of South Gate
Calif., and Mrs. Kenneth Eberle of Lenox.

Funeral services were held at Shannon City Tuesday, with interment at Graceland Cemetery, Creston.
