Vanderpluym, Tunis A. –
Tunis A. Vanderpluym, 86, and a pioneer resident of the Kent vicinity, died Wednesday at Saint Joseph, Mo.

He was born in Holland on January 4, 1857, came to the United States in his youth and spent most of his list in Union county. The last few years of his life were spent in St. Joseph where his wife now survives him.

Funeral services from the Catholic church in Creston were held Saturday. Burial was in Graceland cemetery at Creston.
