OSCAR ALLOWAY, 73, DIES HERE THURSDAY

Oscar Homer Alloway, 73, of 213 West Montgomery street, died Thursday night at Greater Community Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Deitrick and Keating chapel with Rev. John Klein conducting the services. Burial will be in Graceland cemetery. Casket bearers will be Leon McDowell, Harry Brink, Elmer Hunt, William Staples, Jess Overholser and Wilbur Autenrieth. The body will remain at the Deitrick and Keating funeral home until time of services.

Born October 10, 1876, in Johnson county, Iowa, he was married to Huldah Allen at Casey in 1899. They moved to Creston in 190_ from Casey where Mr. Alloway became engaged in barbering. He was a member of the Methodist church and the I. O. O. F. lodge.

Survivors include his widow and two sons, Marland of Creston and Howard of Eldora. Two sisters, Mrs. Edward Murphy of El Monte, Calif., and Mrs. Harry Robinson, of Pontiac, Ill.; three brothers, John of Fontanelle, Harold and Jessie of Omaha, also survive.
