NANCY AMBROSE SERVICES HELD

LENOX—Services for Nancy (Nannie) Ambrose, 90, of Creston, were held a 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Larkin-Bender funeral home in Lenox. Rev. Kenneth Reiter officiated. Organist was Norma Paymal who played “Sweet Hour of Prayer” and “How Great Thou Art.” Pallbearers were Dale Shepherd, Harold Shepherd, Fred Stillinger, A. L. Pine, Orvin Bush and Eugene Swartz. Burial was in the West Fairview Cemetery at Lenox.

Mrs. Ambrose died on Friday at Creston Manor care center. She was born on July 17, 1885 in Toluca, Ill., to George and Mary Barr Algoe. She married A. J. Ambrose at Toluca on Jan. 25, 1911. He preceded her in death on March 22, 1909. She was a member of the Stringtown church.

Surviving are one son, Burton Ambrose, of Creston; a daughter, Wilma Beckwith of Gardina, Calif.; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Also a sister Emma Carrithers of Toluca. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one sister, two grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and one son-in-law.
