Death of Henry H. Lorimor

Henry H. Lorimor died at Lorimor on January 9th, at the age of seventy years. He was a son of the late J. S. Lorimor, who located in 1854 on the original Lorimor farm whence the town was named.

Mr. Lorimor studied in Winterset high school in his youth and after his college days, took up farming with his father until his marriage in 1879. He was deeply interested in stock breeding, especially Percheron horses, Shorthorn cattle and Poland China hogs, and was widely known as a stock raiser and shipper.

Mr. Lorimor had held many positions of civic prominence and filled them capably and honorably.

Mrs. Lorimor, a son and daughter survive him, also one sister, Mrs. Sarah J. Reid of Lorimor.
