L. Albrecht dies at 69

Mrs. George (Lillian) Albrecht, 69, of Creston, died at the Greater Community hospital here Thursday. He had lived in Creston since 1975 and had moved here from Afton, where she had lived since 1946.

Her funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Afton United Methodist church. Rev. James W. Morris, the pastor will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery at Corning.

Her family said a memorial is being established for the Heart Association.

Lillian Medders was born at Paul's Valley, Okla., Jan. 23, 1908. She was the daughter of Samuel and Clara Neisemier Medders. She moved with her family to Adams county as a small child and to the Thayer community in the early 1940s where she lived until moving to Afton in 1964.

She was married to Dave Norton at Conway. He died in 1974. she was married Sept. 13, 1975 at Afton to George Albrecht, who survives her.

Also surviving are two sons, Dr. William Norton of San Acacio, Colo., and Raymond Medders of Norwalk; three step-children, Mrs. Keith (Marjorie) Davison of Osceola, Mrs. Robert (Betty) Jungst of Creston and George Albrecht, Jr. of Aurora, Colo; four grandchildren; 10 step grandchildren and one step-great grandchild; and a brother, Ray Medders of Omaha, Nebr. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and three brothers.

She was president of the Creston Senior Citizens and was a member of the Creston Cozy Campers and the Golden Hawks Campers.
