Gordon Lee white, 63, of Des Moines, Iowa, formerly of Creston, Iowa, died July 31, 1998, at Broadlawns Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. The body was cremated and burial will be held at Graceland Cemetery in Creston at a later date.* Mr. White was born May 12, 1935, in Brooks, Iowa, to Ansell Lee and Goldie Lorene (Shell) White. He graduated from Creston High School in 1952. On November 29, 1954, he married Donna Lou Kline in Creston and later divorced. Following high school he was employed by Hy-Vee Food Stores and later sold and serviced business equipment. Survivors include a daughter, Debra Lynn White of Winston, Georgia; two sons, James Lee (wife Mary) White of Tingley Park, Illinois and Kris Allen White of Urbandale, Iowa; a brother, Phillip (wife Pat) White of Mesa, Arizona; three sisters, Connie White of Creston, Iowa, Karen (husband Doral) Colton of Iowa City, Iowa and Kaira (husband, Stephen) Daughton of El Paso, Texas; and two grandsons. He was preceded in death by his parents.
