Irene Woosley, 85, of Creston, died February 26, 2006, at Greater Regional Medical Center in Creston. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesdy, March 1, 2006, at Powers Funeral Home in Creston. Open visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Tuesday with family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery. Memorials are to be established. Irene Elsie Woosley was born July 30, 1920, in Creston, to Ida B. (Miller) and Charles William Turner. She attended school in Creston. On April 20, 1935, she was united in marriage to Leroy "Lee" Woosley in Creston, where she lived all of her life as a homemaker. Survivors include two daughters: Pat (Phil) White of Mesa, Arizona; Charlene Hudson of Creston; one son, Lynn (Marty) Woosley of Mineola, Texas; five half-brothers; one sister, Lorene Cannon and special friend, George Frazier of Des Moines; two half sisters; eight grandchildren: Stacey (Rod) Shields of Mt. Ayr, Diane (Brian) Nieman of Phoenix, Arizona, Leslie (Steve) Luther of Creston, Lori (Jeff) Fry of Creston, Melissa (John) Sickels of Creston, Brian (Cathie) Meng of Des Moines, Clint( Melody) Woosley, Jennifer (Mark) Barnaby of Parker, Texas; fourteen great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren and seven step-great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents,husband in 1988; one brother, Donald Turner; one half sister, two half brothers and her son-in-law, Ron Hudson.
