Former resident of Arispe dies in California

ARISPE- Dr. Lawrence W. Berry, 75, who grew up in the Arispe community, died April 17 at Westminster, Calif. He died two weeks after undergoing surgery for a massive coronary attack.

He grew up in Arispe and graduated from the Arispe high school. He also graduated from the Palmer School of Chiropractic at Davenport.

He served in the U.S. Army in World War I.

After his graduation from the school of chiropractic he practiced in Manhattan, Kan., until moving to California about 1940. He was a past president of the California Chiropractic Association.

He is survived by his widow, Ethyl; a daughter, Mrs. Ed Baber, and a granddaughter in San Antonio, Tex.; and a sister, Mrs. Louise Robertson of Creston. A sister and a grandson preceded him in death.

The funeral was held at Westminster, Calif., today with burial in Forest Lawn cemetery there.
